Audio and video conversion uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, which needs to be downloaded from CDN (~25MB) on first use. After that it's cached by your browser for faster subsequent uses.
ConvertPro works best on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Image conversion works in any modern browser. Audio/video conversion via FFmpeg.wasm requires a browser that supports SharedArrayBuffer and WebAssembly.
There is no hard limit on our end, but your device's RAM and browser capabilities determine the maximum practical file size. We recommend files under 500MB for best performance.
